Hey on nearly there with my parlor:) redwood top and spanish cedar for the back and sides. Hopefully we can still use hardwoods for the neck, bridge and fretboard.

Absolutely not John, no hardwood on the neck, in order to be true to the new tradition you must use balsa wood for the neck (LOL).

I have not glued down the neck what if I remade it with a spanish cedar. Are fiber carbon rods allowed? I can be part of the next big thing!

I am not part of the next big thing. I have been told that spanish cedar is a hardwood :(

It may be considered a hardwood but it sure is a "soft" hardwood.
