Best way to get a gallon or so of blood off some spruce?
Okay, a couple of drops next to a top brace. Sopped up what I could and hope it does not soak thru.
I'll try sanding once it's dry.

Well...I would say peroxide but I have no idea what it will do to the spruce. I assume this is your blood and not the blood of the guy in your trunk?

Just tell people that your braces are made out of bloodwood!

No big deal, really. I was cutting out a soundhole on the drill press, and that whirling thingamajig gave my right middle finger a little nip (my bad, end of the day, tired, shoulda known better etc etc) and I did not even feel it - then I saw a few alarmingly red spots appear on the brace side of the top and thought: huh. Then thought: crap.
No harm to the finger, no harm to the top, mostly cleaned up and noone will ever see it.
Things that go really fast in the shop - they have to be respected.

A blood stain on the inside of the top is sort of becoming a DNA signiture for me. I think I am at 4 for 5. I usally get it out but it does seem to soak into spruce pretty deep.
For me it is the chisels. Not when I am actully cutting because I keep my fingers out of the way. Rather it occures when I am just holding the chisel and I lightly brush across the tip or brush the tip against a finger when I am doing something else.

Did I mention that me and chisels don't see eye to eye?
