I see and hear Stefan Grossman playing this particular guitar all the time. Anyone know what it is?

This may hurt -- it could very well be an Ibanez!

He's good. And must have some kind of twisted mind to compose like this.
I had to practice some Grossman tunes 30 years ago. How old is the man?

Grossman has/had a business connection with Ibanez -- perhaps a design consultant -- there are Grossman models. Looking at the video I noticed the huge pick-guard on the instrument he's playing -- "Euphonon" guitars have PG's that look similar.

I think it's a Franklin hj-38. I went to his web site and then to the 'woodshed' - a forum on that site - and though I've not ever heard of Franklin, there are many reviews there saying the hj-38 is the 'best guitar ever made' - well, we all know statements like that are subjective, but still...who here has played one? Any good at all?

Edit - I just saw Ken's last post re: Euphonon. Could be. Stefan also has a Martin signature model, but that would not have the big pickguard.

Here's a crappy pic of the bridge on the guitar - pyramids on the ends, a little peak at the back. Anyone recognize it?

Folks -

As the proud LUCKY owner of a vintage Maurer (Larsen Brothers) AWESOME 1916-ish guitar, a guy that is aware that Stefan loves Larsen instruments, AND a guy that sees a Larsen-esque pyramid bridge - I'd bet on the Euphonon or Prairie State (looks bigger than a typical Maurer or Stahl). I am no guru on this mind you.

Could also be one of Tony Klassen's instruments - They are Larsen inspired, amazing guitars (GORGEOUS in every way), and I believe Stefan owns at least one.

Not that I have any idea if I am right, mind you :-)
