'Official Luthiers Forum' defunct September 1?

Post by phavriluk »

Anybody known anything about this forum's going dark? During the last week of August there was a great deal of discussion about supporting the forum in order to keep it going, and quite a related conversation about the seemingly-excessive cost of forum hosting, and Monday, it's gone.

If any of the forum's major information contributors have decamped to elsewhere, I'd love to know where.

Thanks!

Thanks, John. Did Hesh mention whether he was going to continue offering his advice in another venue? The last I'd seen was a discussion about web hosting and it was going badly. Then the dark.

I might be wrong here but I think Lance K owned the sight. Hesh was a major content contributor

I'd be overjoyed if Hesh joined us and perhaps other former OLF participants would follow.

I think you've got it right on both counts.
