Started cardiac re-hab today. I see the surgeon tomorrow, should remove stitches and staples. My chest incision was put back together with CA glue, no stitches there. Stitches are in leg incision where they took a vein and three big holes in my abdomen where the drainage tubes were. Staples in my arm. Ain't feeling too silly and inane right now. Pain meds running low and I'm trying to milk them out. Hopefully Doc will re-up me for a few more days and then I'll be good, getting better but feels like I've got a big friggin' rock in my chest. I have been sneaking out to the shop and doing some "light duty" type stuff for very short durations. I have to have a little "hands on" time to keep from going crazy and committing sideways.
Thanks!
David L
P.S. SIDEWAYS, that's a little inane, yes?

Re: I'm home
Thanks John, Darren, I'm doing all of the right stuff (for the first time in my life) and they tell me that I'm moving right along, on schedule or even ahead of schedule, I don't feel that way physically but mentally I have a real good attitude. I also have lots of support from family and friends and my extended network of friends right here at KGF, the support is a tremendous help for attitude and that sets up the rest of the re-hab process.
