I once tried to Kraft a guitar for a photo shoot. I was never able to completely remove all of the cheese. Ruined that guitar.

Good fun.
However, when someone asks me what I 'do', I would feel a whole lot of pretentious saying I am 'creating' something, or that I am 'crafting something' - even if that is what I feel I am doing.
Now all of you would understand if I were to use that language - but outside our particular language- game, not so much.

Well, for over 20 years I have called myself a Knife Maker....so, I guess I can call myself a Guitar Maker! But then, if used as a noun, as in, put the MAKE on someone......hmmmmmmm. I guess if we build guitars and try to sell one with lots of mistakes, then we would be doing just that. :>)

In the end -- when ego can no longer be injected -- our work will totally speak for itself. No matter, those of you that are gifting your time so another can have a hand made guitar should and will be revered far above those of us that are in this for fame or fortune.

Thank you Ken. I am certainly spending plenty of time on this hobby, and I have received much joy thus far when I finish and give a guitar to it's new owner. I have sold one, and the next will be sold, so I hope that I don't loose my "not for fame" status.
And that said, I will lay my input on the "build" term to rest.
