Mine does that. One of them anyway. He sleeps on his back, legs akimbo, snoring. Yes. Snoring. Sometimes it sounds like my 9 month old is whining and I often mute the TV to be sure. Granted, he is 20lbs and according to the vet, obese, but he is damn happy. Just last night he split a can of tuna (solid white in water) with his little sister. And by share I mean, he ate 90% of it and then went to lay down, having worn himself out by eating so vigorously. At that point, the dainty little sister was able to saunter over and clean up the left overs. She is only 9lbs which is on the small side for female Maine Coons.
If I had a pic, I would post him sleeping on his back, but I do not. At least, none I can find. But rest assured you are not the only one with a looney tunes kitty.

Oooooh! Tuna fish, this cat can hear the can opener (and I'm not talking about the electric kind) from a dead sleep from across the house, Oooooh, Tuna fish! Something that has always puzzled me, you know how cats absolutely detest water, right, so how come they love tuna fish (or any fish for that matter?).

My big cat, whom we imaginatively named 'big boy' in a moment of inspiration, is on his back a lot. Sometimes it is an invitation to rub the buddha's belly; sometimes a ruse to get you into a tussle; sometimes it just feels good, I reckon.

I do not and will not ever give him tuna again. I have smelled the fetid swamps in Tennessee; the rank odors of dogs roasting in Vietnamese villages; the overwhelming stench of a leech-filled mire I stumbled into in the Phillipines; and my own feet. But never has anything crossed this man's nostrils as foul as the gaseous, nauseating, semi-liquid semi-vaporous exhalings of Big Boy's arse 20 minutes after eating tuna, be it solid white albacore in spring water or the lowly BumbleBee brand in whatevert crap it's in.
I think that is why my Poplar fell down. Big Boy often takes a turn around the tree after dinner. A tree can only take so much.

Cats can be fun to watch but they don't move more than they have to . My General Tso can sleep anywhere .

Bailey will sleep like this all day long. At least until a bird flies by the window, then she's all business!
