Re: Pumped and raring to go
So the electrical inspectors came yesterday and told me the new code required TWO visible grounds and as the one on the shop was buried into the foundation I had to drive two more. For any that have not done this the rods are 8 feet long and must be driven flush to the ground. WHEW!
Well, the inspector came back today and everything passed, so I insulated the wall and sheet rocked it in. I'm getting to old for this s**t!!!!

I've driven those rods many times Tim.....and understand your pain! Ha! I'm sure you had zero rocks to pound through, LOL. When I was little, my dad had me hold those rods while he drove them with a sledge hammer! Talk about gun shy......

Luckily, only hit 2 rocks and only had to move one rod. And Darryl, if you had to hold those for me you'd be hand less today:)Darryl Young wrote:I've driven those rods many times Tim.....and understand your pain! Ha! LOL! My dad had his own business as an electrician for awhile. I've held those rods many, many times while he drove them. Looking back knowing what I know now, I wonder how puckered my dad was that he would miss and hit my arm! I'm guessing it's scary for both folks involved.
