Thanks JR. I guess it stands for slope shouldered then. I'm guessing a slope shouldered dred is just a 12 fret dread? I've never been certain what slope shouldered means. I've never seen a 12 fret dread in person.

Even though the body shapes are similar, slope shoulder normally refers to a 14 fret Gibson body style.

Believe it or not, the "s" in Martins model numbers stand for "standard". 14 fret body styles were a relatively later modification to the shape.
If you can't do something well, learn to enjoy doing it poorly.
