Buying a house.... and building a work shop!?!?

Congratulations! My dream home has a large shop in a walk-out basement........not too difficult to heat or cool. As for size, I have a great shop.....but it's metal siding with large gaps between sides and roof so really no economical way to seal it to control temp or humidity. I hate being in it in summer (sweltering with high humidity) or winter (freezing with very low humidity). No way to heat it economically and I hate to work around power tools with spinning blades when my fingers are cold and stiff with little feeling.
