Thanks John but I'm good on the couch for now.
I have vicodin but it is barely making a dent in the pain.
They put a pin in the bone. Imagine drilling into your foot and going through the bone. That's what I am experiencing now. It's fricken sweet as Peter Griffin would say.

I feel for you, Tony. We think that there is always a cure for pain, but sometimes there just ain't. I hate it.

I don't want a cure Dave, I just want something to take the edge off. It's really unbearable. To top it all off, I have guys replacing my roof because the night I broke my foot, my tenant called to tell me the roof was leaking. We found a guy who was highly recommended and he was able to start today. Yippee!
At least it will be fixed and last for the next 20+ years. The noise prevented me from getting any sleep today though. It must be my lucky week!

How's the foot coming along Tony? Have you been able to do anything besides cruise the forum? Are you up and moving around any at all?

I can hobble around my house but that's about it. If I have my foot down for too long, it really begins throbbing and hurts like Hell. So I am limited in how much I can move. Plus, I am not to put any weight on my foot at all. To too it off, it's my right foot, so I can't drive even if it wasn't hurting so much. I probably have to be out of work for at least two weeks since my job involves driving. Hopefully the time will start going more quickly. It's dragging ass right now. Feels like a week has gone by and its only 2 days.

I dont know if I mentioned this, but I broke my foot last week on Saturday. After getting home from the ER at almost 4 AM, I went to bed. I woke up Sunday and my tenant who lives in the second floor of my house called to tell me that with the torrential rain we were having, the roof was leaking. Well, I called a roofer friend who came and confirmed that I did indeed need a roof on my house and the detached garage I use as a shop. Since I have not been able to go out there, I assumed all was well and left it at that.
My wife went to the garage today and asked me why the roofers took down the florescent light above my work bench. I said that they had not taken it down. They were never in the garage, only on top of it. She said it was on the floor. Well, bad foot or not, I have the koa dread on the bench directly under that light fixture! I [s]ran as fast as I could[/s] hobbled at a glacial pace to the garage to inspect the dread. Somehow, when the light fell, it missed the bench completely!! Whew! My heart was pounding as I recalled several horror stories I have read about things falling on completed boxes, animals knocking guitars off of benches at night, etc. My guitar was not touched. I guess someone upstairs is looking out for me. And by "upstairs" I am not talking about my tenants. They are not looking out for me as far as I know. Nope. It must have been a higher power. I guess all of my dead relatives are watching my back. It seems the chain on one side let go of the mount on the light causing it to swing, which released the second hook, and then it fell to the floor. Not only did it miss my guitar, it did not break the lights!! Amazing. A small dent in the corner of the fixture is the only evidence of the fall.

Tony you really need to be taking some Ibuprophen. Vicodin didn't touch my pain and just made me mean and constipated. 800mg loading dose and 400mg every 4hrs worked much better. Just be sure to take a Pepcid every day to protect your gut.
