Login Problem

Post by nehsgolfer »

I've had this happen many times-I log on to the forum website, go to a particular topic and when I come back to the original website, I have to login again. I always click to remember .
Thanks

First: Make sure that you have checked the "Log me on automatically each visit" check box.
Second: When leaving the forum, close your web browser. Do not click the Logout button in the top left of the page.
Third: Make sure your web browser is set to accept cookies and that you are not clearing them between visits.

If you are doing all of the above, please list in this thread your web browser, its version number and your operating system and I will see if I can find browser specific problems.

Also, for those of you that this happens to, does it happen every time you leave and come back or only some of the time?

Harold,

I'm still looking into this problem. I spent a good amount of time trying to reproduce the problem so I can see why it occurs. So far I have not been able to figure out how to reproduce this error. I am going to borrow my friend's Mac OSX laptop to test it on Safari tonight.

Thanks, the problem hasn't occurred much recently. Just every now and then it seems to want to happen.
Thanks

I'm still working on this problem. I have been reading about similar problems and cookie settings, but I am having trouble testing anything because I cannot reproduce the error. I will update everyone if I make any progress. Sorry this is taking so long.

Just started having this problem 3 days ago (Thursday 5/26). No computer updates on that date, and this is the only forum out of about 20 I visit daily that I'm having issues with. IE version 9 has been on this machine for several weeks and did not have a problem prior to Thursday. Phone has no issues, but I haven't tried my laptop yet.
