I'm on a very limited budget. $1000 is my tops for a bandsaw. I currently have a 10" bandsaw, which has been a godsend, but I have old cherry and black walnut that I need to resaw, and my 10" isn't powerful enough.
I've been keeping my eye on a 14" Rikon Deluxe bandsaw. It's finally on sale for $899, and I want to buy it.
Do you think that this saw is powerful enough to do occasional redrawing, with the proper blade?
These are the specs:
120/220v (I will hook it to 220v)
1 3/4 hp motor
2 speed motor
13" resaw capability
Comes with resaw jig
Comes with storage base
5 year warranty
Need opinions on this bandsaw

Plenty of power. My saw is 1.5 hp and does a fine job. Should be a nice saw
