Kevin

I have had two - they came along for the ride in a box lot. One had a Sargent blade, one was unmarked. Never tried to use them as they seemed ungainly. When I sell tools I generally have a "free" box for people to poke through - it seems to loosen them up for actually buying stuff. These went in the free box.

This blade holding/adjusting mechanism is a PIA - like the Stanley 110 only worse. True that the blade bedding is pathetic, but I have seen people do remarkable stuff with pathetic tools. My general rule is that as long as a better tool is inexpensive, use the better tool.

Thanks Ed. I think I'll clean the sole, sharpen it and then use it, at least once. If I like the size, I'll use it more than once. It was almost like free!!!!
