What kind of air brush is best for bursting a finish?

I have one from horrible freight
after a few adjustments and practice it did the job well

I have 2 of these (scroll down), one for color one for clear: QS-125WB. Listed as water based for great for nitro

those are paint sprayers an air brush is much smaller for detail work

the learning curve isn't long to use them. Practice on cardboard or plywood.


If your doing a burst start with 2 coats of clear then start with the lighter color
I do a soft yellow brown over the top then darker colors and work out.

the trick is to know when to stop

I do my burst work with them. An airbrush is too small for me for that job. I use my air brush for touch up work. I use a StewMac air brush, I like the hose on it better than others.
