do you use a tang nipper first or just completely file it off. The tang nipper is quick, maybe a bit messy but the file would clean it up lickity split.

I use the nipper. For the first two boards it cut so cleanly no filing was necessary. Maybe that will change with further use.

Yes I use a tang nipper. Thats just the final cleanup you're looking at.
