2003 taylor 110 Neckblock

Post by Zen »

Hello, Just wondering if anyone would know where to source a neckblock for an old taylor 110 from 2003. The block has practically disintegrated and needs to be replaced.
I have removed it but I'm not sure if I'm capable of making a replacement that would fit snugly and be of the same standard as the original. The guitar belongs to a friend who wants to pass it on to his young daughter so I would like to try to help.

I dont see anyway to attach pics here -?

Hoping someone might be able to suggest a solution as Taylor have informed me that they no longer supply blocks from that period.

Many Thanks
Rusty

rcnewcomb--Thanks for that but for some reason that window with choose file is not available to me here.

I will keep trying as its gotta be something silly I'm missing.

The only difficult dimension is the height - between the top and and the bottom. If you even could order one from the factory, you would still need to trim that height. This is a straightforward piece to make, and my guess is you could be off a bunch in the width and the depth without affecting anything. And you have the advantage of having the old piece in your hand to match.

Just a quick question about posting pics here--is there something I am doing wrong as I see at the bottom of my page it shows that posting attachements is disabled but I did not choose that as far as I know.
Cheers
