Gibson had a period where the top was attached over the dovetail joint necessitating the FB be cut in half through one one of the fret slots.
Does anybody know what year and models those were?

When I recently rebuilt a broken 1933 L-00 I found that it was a candidate for that problem, although it was OK. I don't know other years or models.

Re: Gibson neck joint question
the over the top guitars were from rework. It could be almost any year or model I have seem them that way up to the later 60's. So I don't know when they stopped
