Gibson neck joint question

Post by Ben-Had »

Gibson had a period where the top was attached over the dovetail joint necessitating the FB be cut in half through one one of the fret slots.

Does anybody know what year and models those were?

Tim

When I recently rebuilt a broken 1933 L-00 I found that it was a candidate for that problem, although it was OK. I don't know other years or models.

OK, that makes more sense to me. Thanks Ed and John for the responses.
