Hello,I have had a set of BRW sitting around acclimating awhile, when I first got it it was a reddish brick color, now after sitting awhile, I went and bent the sides and built the box, but the wood is now alot darker than it was, after routing binding channels I really noticed the difference in what "was" and what "is" as far as color goes, My question:
Is there any method to remove the oxidation, if that is what it is, safely without alot of aggressive sanding?

Not being an expert I can only say that I think colour change in wood over time is normal. South American mahogany harvested many years ago is now almost black, as in some wood from a nick knack shelf I bought. It is black all the way through.
Recently I taped a fingerboard to a mahogany neck while I did other things, and it definitely showed when the tape was removed.
I'm pretty sure that Brazilian rosewood, far more than Indian Rosewood is inclined to change colour.

sanding is what will refresh the surface .
