John, 1. Was that done with a router or chisel? 2. Before or after the top and back were on? Just curious. Your photo made me think of new ways I might approach doing that little piece of binding in the future. Thanks, Bob

I closed the box first. Scored the lines with a scalpel and then used a dremel in a StewMac base to rout the channel. I've found if you score the line well you can rout right to the edge freehand. A very steady freehand.
