Myrtle Cutaway

Post by John J »

This is number eight. My first attempt at a cutaway. All in all it turned out really nice. Sounds bright and well balanced. This one is a surprise gift for my oldest friend. We learned to play together way way back.
The particulars:

Guitar #8
00 size 14 fret cutaway
25.5" scale
Figured Myrtle back and sides.
Adirondack red spruce top.
Walnut neck.
Ebony fingerboard.
BRW and maple bridge.
Walnut backstrip, bindings, backstrap and heel cap.
BRW rosette and head plate.
Tru Oil finish, no pore fill.
