My "Norman Blake" OM is done

Post by John J »

Finally finished his one and strung her up a few days ago. This is the slightly modified version (body length shortened at the upper bout by 1/2" because of my measuring mistake. The bridge is pushed further down by that much. It sounds really full and crisp.
The particulars:

Guitar #6
Norman Blake style OM
25.4 scale
Figured cherry back/sides
Engleman Spruce top
Mahogany neck
Tamarind rosette
Tamarind head plate
Leopardwood binding
B. Rosewood/cherry bridge
Katalox fingerboard
Mahogany kerfing
Spruce braces
Gold MOP inlay

It looks really good! A nice unique selections of wood. I would never notice the shape without you mentioning it.
