My size 2 is complete!

Post by John J »

My fourth guitar is finished. It is a Martin style size 2 that was my first all scratch build. The only thing I had done for me was the slotted fretboard. Lots of new things to learn on this one. I have to say I am impressed with the voice on this little guy. Much louder that I would have thought. And it is a lot of fun to play, very comfortable. Thanks for looking.

Here's the details:
24.75 scale
Black walnut back and sides
Engleman spruce top
Redheart/walnut/maple end wedge
Redheart back strip
Redheart rosette and bindings
Mahogany neck laminated with maple and walnut
Ebony fingerboard with pearl shamrocks - 16" radius
Slotted head/walnut plate with pearl inlay
Bone nut/saddle/bridge pins
Brazilian rosewood pyramid bridge
Grover tuners
Tru oil finish

Nice work, and an excellent blending of woods and colors and trim details for an attractive whole.
