Rosewood\Spruce Tenor Ukulele

Post by johnnparchem »

This Ukulele is the last of three instruments I have building together. I promise it will be awhile until I post another. Anyway:

Top - Adi Spruce
Back and sides, Some kind of rosewood.
Fretboard cocbolo
bridge ebony
Binding Australian Blackwood.

Thanks Rich,

John, I enjoy posting the work. I still do this for fun and being a part of these forums is a big part of the fun.

Most of the molds that I have, my two bending machines, my binding machine and my bending patterns come from John's http://www.bluescreekguitars.com/ online store.

John, a big part of my fun is seeing and hearing what you guys are creating.

Thanks Alex and Diane,

I have a bunch of wood for sopranos and concert and tenor ukuleles that I am going to start building soon. I picked up some amazing wood in an unseen grab box with 10 sets at an unbelievable price form a luthier working toward retirement: Koa, African blackwood, Brazilian Rosewood, quilted mahogany, cuban and and curly claro walnut ... So you should be seeing more ukuleles from me. I think I saw this morning that my ukulele bending molds from John are about to arrive.
