#4 finally done…..

Post by jcphotog »

Finally finished with this really nice OM. Took me almost a year (not sure why, I guess life got in the way). Adirondack top, Higuerilla back and sides, honduran rosewood fingerboard. Has amazing clarity with unbelievable sweetness, warmth, and ridiculous sustain. Best sounding guitar I've built so far….

Jeff Bamburg did the amazing UV poly finish.

I'm inspired again….got a mahogany dread and a nice little 00 in progress….

Perfect balanced appearance on the rosette, and the binding/purfling is also "just right." You have an artistic eye for proportion.

Thank you. I guess being a professional photographer, "proportion" would be my thing….it certainly is one of the things I love (and obsess on) about guitars; so many cool choices that come together to truly make the end result a piece "art" both visually and tonally.

Really nice. I like the look of the fine herringbone. Overall it looks refined and classy. I cannot tell what wood the neck is made of... does not look like mahogany... is it?
Slowest builder on the forum. These things take time. Apparently.
