I tried them on your recommendation Sylvan and they are indeed better than anything out there. I love the convenience of having the bearings with an etched size , no looking or guessing. The case is a plus and it can indeed to the full spectrum from the Martin D45 to just a simple binding.
The other point is the width of the bearings, unlike the Stew mac set I had was too thin and you had to do the wide cut before the deep cuts.
I won't use anything else.

"This rabbet router bit with 19 bearings is used to cut purfling/binding channels on guitars or any other woodworking project that requires precise cut ledges. The biggest frustration when cutting binding ledges on guitars is when you must cut a ledge that is precisely the same width as the binding material. With these bearings that fit on the tip of the bit, you can adjust the width of the cut by .010 by using each bearing to get an exact cut for your binding."

The cutting blade is 1" in diameter and the cutters are carbide tipped.
The shaft length is 1.32" and the shaft diameter is .25".
