Earlier, you said it is a maple. I sure can not find a maple that looks like it.

yes I did think it was maple but it isn't

Since you say it's not a Maple, Could it be Ingrown Bark Cherry. . . ?

NOPE this isn't maple my initial assessment to the genus of wood was not correct. So look in another direction.
