Wonderful looking and sounding guitar Kevin. Looks like there is a thicker black purfling on the inside edge of the rosette than elsewhere. Looks good. Did you plan it that way?

edit: what I am getting at above is did your use your method of the .055 end mill to simultaneously cut the wood rosette and the purfling circle. The inner purfling looks wider but maybe its an optical illusion.

I'll soon be cutting my own using your method.

Hi Tim,
You are right about the wider black purfling. When I did that rosette, I used the 1/16" bit and discovered that it made too wide a cut, so I opened it up a little more to take the second black purfling....it was not in the original plan, but I liked how it turned out.
After that one, I got the .055" bit, and it works perfect!
