Finished a violin just in time for my niece's birthday.

Post by johnnparchem »

I built this violin from stewmac parts for my niece. Her birthday is tomorrow, so I was sweating bullets tonight. I upgraded all of the parts they sell with their kit. My next violin project will be from scratch. I have all of the tools. We will see. The sunburst violin varnish finishes is still very hard for me. I added the color on top of clear varnish (as a toner). I am debating spraying the color on as a stain next time.
