I have been using my finish booth and really enjoy the ability to finish in a controlled area
this is an OM I used 2 coats of vinyl sealer 3 coats aqua coat filler 2 coats of sealer
this was level sanded
3 coats of finish
mix was 65% lacquer
my thin mix is 60 40 thinner and retarder

I am using a fuji semi pro with a 1.0 needle
I also use the rotisserie for the body as I spray this really helps the level off with the retarder and no runs or sags

ok holy moly. The more I learn the more just appreciate work like this. That has to be one of the most perfect glossy finishes I've ever laid eyes on and you haven't buffed. Thanks for sharing your booth and work.

Looks beautiful John! No wonder you are pleased. A couple of questions for a beginner:

Is the filler sprayed on or applied by hand?

Are you thinning all three products or just lacquer?

Do you use the 1mm needle because you are thinning your finishes? (I have a 1.4 mm needle, have not tried it yet)

Thanks a lot - Bruce W.

I thin sealer about 80 20 and with sealer no retarder needed
aqua coat is applied by rubbing it into the pore after sealing. I will lightly sand first
and I can reapply filler in 40 min I sand the first application with 220 and 320 after.
I may lay out as much as 3 coats of filler.
then I hit 2 coats of sealer over the filler.
Light level sand the next day ( dry )
the 3 or 4 more finish coats
my finish is thinned and I use a mix of thinner and retarter about a 60 40 mix
I use a coffee can that has rings
4 rings of thinner 3 of retarder
the finish is will get more orange peel if too heavy. I like the smaller needle for a lighter coat. I tried putting heavy but you can end up with air bubbles
