Should rosettes be pore filled?

when I do a wood rosette , while it may need some filling one the top is sealed and you see serious pores you can drop fill with some finish.

I assume it depends on what the rosette is made of. If it's got, say, black walnut in it, maybe so. If it's holly...no so much.

I use a lot of rosettes made from East Indian Rosewood (to match headstock) and abalone. I pore fill them. So I think it does depend on what you're using and the look you want.

I fill all rosettes. I find it easier than drop filling afterwards. I use a clear polyester for a pore filler though....

I decided to pore fill the rosette. I used Aqua Coat which worked great. Thanks everyone for your input.
