Anybody ever tried Odie's Oil?

Post by MaineGeezer »

I just came across a product called Odie's Oil. Like most proprietary products it's supposed to be the greatest finish ever created. Has anybody used it and can give an opinion? It's quite expensive, which makes me hesitate about trying it.

I first noticed it on the Rockler website.

This isn't for guitars and I have found out most oil finishes don't work well on instruments. The one exception is true oil but that is more of a hard finish where most oil finishes are penetrating.
If it says penetrating oil you may want to use it on an experimental instrument
