Re: Swirl remover

Glazing is the process of rubbing out the swirls. I have used lots of polishes over the years. Martin Senour's swirl remover was a favorite for a while but i have used some from 3M, Novus and others with good results. My latest favorite is something I make myself by combining a few different compounds and thinning them out for hand use with a cloth or felt block. If you are interested , PM me as I do sell small bottles of it.

I had found 3M hand glaze pretty good.

Maybe i am doing this wrong.
I buff with the mazerna's and thrn use swirl remover and a wizards was.
Is the trick to rub it in and not let it dry?
It dries fast and is hard to remove.

I use the cheap 3 dollar cotton buffing wheels from Harbor freight. I dictate one per grit (medium, fine, swirl, all menzerna). Swirl remover always gets it's own wheel, if not a new one. They are cheap, and essentially disposable. I keep them in freezer bags (quality zip locks) to try to keep them clean and safe.

The wheels go in a drill, and so you can a pretty good buff with out using any upper body ;)
