Anyone know what this is?

I started scraping and sanding my sides and I got these white streaks in several places. Is it a resin? Anyone seen this before in EIR. It's not sanding dust and is fairly deeply embedded.

these are mineral stains that will enter the tree as it grows. The staining and fill process will hide this for you.
