For other than thinning properties, what do you use naptha, mineral spirits, acetone, denatured alcohol, and grandma's salve for?

I keep mineral spirits around to moisten a rag to run over wood before applying finish to make sure I don't have glue or other contaminants on the surface.

I use dna as a general cleaning solvent with my water based spray equipment, and to to dilute and clean up epoxy. Good for lots of other uses. I go through more of it than anything else you mentioned. Also great for cleaning up my wifes sink after I have made a mess of it.

Acetone is great for cleaning up ca. Keep some in a small jar and soak my ca tips in it.
