Using Scotch Brite Pads

I'm getting close to start the finishing process on my Martin kit.

Are there any known issues with using Scotch Brite pads when doing light in between coats sanding with lacquer? I know that steel wool is bad because there are rust inhibitors that can affect the finish.

I like using the Scotch Brites because I find it easier to control them when sanding contoured surfaces as opposed to sandpaper.

Thanks,

If you spray a coat within an hour or so , you don't need to scuff , the thinner will melt one coat into the next. I also use the scotch pads, ( maroon ).
