Great video, John! I sure wish I'd seen that before I had to do my first neck reset.
My steam generator was, and still is, an espresso machine I picked up at a garage sale for five bucks.

Re: how to pull a neck
John:
Does the same steaming method apply to removing to an M&T neck joint that's been glued-in w/ Titebond? On an OM I built, in a hurry to finish it up, I glued & bolted the M&T joint together knowing that the extension dives dramatically beyond the 14th fret. Not that I play up there that much, but aesthetically, I can't stand looking at it & would like to make it right. Would the neck need to be removed in order to place a shim under the extension, or can this be done w/o removing the whole neck?
Regardless of this & being the 1st guitar I put together it has it's share of mistakes. However, it sounds & plays great, but the falling extension is the one that bugs me to no end. Of the OM's I have...it's my favorite sounding one & the one I play the most. I can post a pic if so desired...?

Yes, if you added glue in the mortise.RnB wrote:John:
