These strings are expensive so I'm wondering if anyone here would care to share their experience with them,
especially on a parlour or an older instrument with bracing of questionable strength. Sonics? Volume? Long lasting? Ease of playing? Anything else?
The AC110 or AC111 are under consideration for use on a Seagull Cedar/Wild Cherry Coastline Grand parlour-type and a Larrivee OM/Mahogany
Thanks.

I like the Thomastiks but they're different. They are low-tension which is often nice for older, more fragile instruments. Neither the Larrivee nor the Seagull are really in that category unless there are issues you haven't mentioned. The Thomastiks have a really warm, rich sound that can be somewhat overpowering if you want a drier, more crisp tone. The low tension combined with the short scale lengths of the two guitars would probably mean that they aren't the best choice for most flatpickers. Dead easy to play (low tension again), generally long-lasting, not big volume (low tension once more).

The silk can cause problems with fitting bridge pins. You'll probably have to file the bridge a bit to get a nice fit.

Really good strings but I feel that they're sort of specialised. If they have the sound you want, nothing else will do.

They're on my "bucket list" for strings to try on my OM and eventual 00, but I've not tried them yet. But, I'm using the Newtone Heritage Series right now, and I would think that these would compare to the Thomastiks.
