Hello

Post by Selah »

I have loved playing my guitar for years and also loved wood working. For many years I have wanted to build a guitar and finally the stars aligned and I was able to purchase a Martin Jumbo rosewood kit. I started a couple weeks ago and am working through Bill Cory’s book on building Maryin-style guitar kits. Good book. That book led me to this forum and I’d figured I would join up and look for some help as I step through the process. Thanks for the forum and thanks in advance for the help.

Welcome. I would like to think that all the mistakes have been made and the folks on this forum have worked through solutions, but I know better than that. Keep in touch and show us some pictures.

I read Cory's books over and over before I ran out of excuses to see how much of a mess I could make of my guitar wood. I think they're an excellent start.

Enjoy the ride!
