Hello,
My name is Allan, and I’m new here from Ottawa Canada. I just picked up a “used” (bought but never built) Electric Telecaster kit. It’s an inexpensive unit (and lefty btw) with a basswood base and maple neck... I believe it’s from solo, from what I can tell. I know I will have questions, since I know little enough of guitars (want to learn) and had an 87 squire strat at one point (wanted to learn, but learned that I wouldn’t learn if it wasn’t a lefty), and made the mistake of selling it. I do understand woodworking, since my dad was a cabinet maker by trade, and also automotive painting (can’t wait to see the paint color I have planned), but there are unanswered questions I have in the manual, so I need to fill out those answers as I go along. It should be an interesting journey, and I hope to meet others who have built their own, and their opinions.
Allan
