thanks for having me! First Time Builder!

Post by jusbroacoustic »

Hello,

My name is Justin. I joined this forum in no small part because of John Hall. I am currently building a J-45 style acoustic. I am building it because my wife said I needed a hobby, and because i never found a J-45 I have loved. As a result, I am excited about how the process is going (as slow as it is sometimes). I had a couple issues with the back of the guitar. I bought some wood off eBay (I know...I know big mistake), but with Johns help we got steared in the right direction. John recommended RC Tonewoods, and I have not been happier with the way my build is going. hopefully....with your help it will be a success!

thanks for the kind words we are all here to help and share what we learned. If you learn from a mistake it no longer is a mistake ,it is now a learning experience

Thanks Mr. Hall,

I really have enjoyed the process. As always, appreciate your help along the way! BTW how would your go about bending denser woods. I got a set of brazillian cherry, and I was wondering what thickness should the side be? The back is still stiff as heck. But I am going to get it to 90 thousandths and see where we are at. Thanks again

Justin
