Hello from Switzerland

Post by Zimmer64 »

Hi there,

I started playing guitar 2 years ago at the age of 50.... Bought a D-28 and a CEO-7, which means that I also need the size in between:-)

Since I like to build things I got a 000 mahogany kit from Martin. So far I managed to build the body and fitted the neck and fretboard. Next thing on the list is to glue in the truss rod and the fretboard to the neck.

Since this is my first guitar I will most likely finish it with Danish Oil to which I will add black pigments. Hope this will work.

I have put a few pictures up on my blog in case someone is interested. (http://zimmer64.wordpress.com).

Michael
Kind regards

Michael

Hi Michael,
Your kit is looking good! When you have time, it would nice to know more about the black pigmented finish you are planning to use. (Pics of your CEO-7 and D-28 would nice to see on your blog...)
Good luck, -d.
