My name is Randall (hi, Randall) and I'm building my first kit guitar.
I'm building a Blues Creek OM Spruce/Sapele under the helpful guidance and watchful eye of Kathy Matsushita. Kathy has been gracious to document the process on her web site
Kathy is an excellent and patient teacher. I feel privileged to have her guiding me through the process.
I'm an Electrical Engineer by training. I've mostly been in high tech, but I ran a wood working business for about 5 years -- mostly CNC work -- so doing much of the work by hand has been an interesting change.
