Hi, I'm Dan, getting ready to retire and looking for the ultimate hobby to maximize my frustration level and have always considered the world of lutherie to be the ultimate pinnacle from which to hurl myself from. I've built cabinets and furniture in the past, but after ordering both of Corey's books and Cumpiano's, I've come to realize that I have a LOT of reading and pondering to do before I start making sawdust.
Hoping an old dog can really learn a new trick. I've enjoyed looking around in here and hope to learn much from you experienced folk and maybe not embarrass myself too badly.
Dan

Hi Dan. I'm way behind on my new guy responses, but you are at the top of the list. Sounds like you have chosen a great way to spend some of those retirement hours. Welcome. Where do you hail from?
