Hi,
I am currently the newest forum newbe and am here because I'm putting together my first steel string guitar. Actually I'm doing three at the same time. Like most newbe's probably feel, the neck joints of these are intimidating to me. I will be posting soon specific question about my projects. A long time ago I started making lutes, Renaissance and Baroque, classical guitars and other stringed instruments so I am comfortable around tone-woods and tools. I'm looking forward to being a good contributor here.
Regards, Dan

Hi Dan,
I just finished my second guitar so I am truly a beginner. It sounds like you do have some good experience.
I'm just up the road from you in Avondale. I have homemade a jig for cutting the dovetail for the neck joint that you are welcome to use. Let me know if that's something that could help you.

Re: Hello from Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania
Thanks guys for the welcome. And thanks Gerry for the offer; I might need some help in cutting my own when I get there. My current projects came with the joints cut (2 not matched, though). I plan to post pics and a request for opinions this coming weekend after I check existing threads here on the forum. I sure wish the forum was available when I started in 1975.
Regards, Dan.
