Hi everyone,
My name is Larry Sakayama. I'm an amateur builder and finished my first guitar in 2009. Since then I've built 8 more. I like to experiment so 5 of the 9 guitars were made from wood leftover from other projects. One actually has a top made from a 2x4.
I recently attended the Blues Creek Guitars Open House (John Hall). It was a great time seeing what an experienced builder does and talking to other luthiers. I posted some pictures in under the Events subject.
I belong to a group of amateur builders in and around the Roanoke, VA area called the Blue Ridge Luthiers. You can check it out at blueridgeluthiers.com.
You can see some of the things that I've done on my website at blackwaterriverguitars.com. Someday I might even get around to making it current.
Glad to be a part of the forum. I know I'll learn a lot. I hope I have something to contribute.
Larry
