Just ordered my first kit - Greenville SC

Post by Steve H »

I've thought about it for years and have been reading about it for months, but I just pulled the trigger on my first kit. Anyone in the upstate of South Carolina that might be willing to help out if (when) I get in a bind?

I've built furniture, barns, houses, and anything else that I wanted, most of my life. I was ready to start on a cedar strip canoe when I checked my garage to make sure I had room to build it. I had room to build but didn't really have room to store it when it was complete.

So, a guitar was kind of my second choice for my next hobby. Much easier to hang a guitar on a wall than a boat! I play a little but I am not an accomplished guitarist. Both of my sons play much better than I, and I would love to build guitars #2 & 3 for them.

If my build doesn't go well.... Maybe I could use it for a canoe paddle.

Heck, build it big enough and you can do both:)
