I don't have, and don't plan to have, any spray or buffing equipment. I would appreciate a discussion of hand polishing various finishes. I have tried a lot from shellac, Tru-oil, wipe on Minwax poly, KTR-9 (?), Endurovar, etc. and would like to find a finish, or a method that will give me sightly (not a lot) more shine. What are the finishes and polishing techniques and products you all have settled on? nHow much time does it take?

here is a video on just that let me know if this helps

In most cased Tite bond original will work but I have switched to West Sytems epoxy as the glue does a great job of filler voids to lost splinter of wood
Thanks for the link and great tips on using furniture repair pens.

John, RHayes just posted in another thread about allowing for springback in a bending form. I'd like to understand better how to do that BEFORE I make my next form. He also mentioned how different woods behave. (I'm using a Fox-style bender I made and your heating blanket and slats and controller). Bruce W.

Hi John,

I wonder if the new folks on the forum would benefit from a short video on basic guitar geometry. In your videos you often refer to neck geometry. It might be helpful if there would be a short vid on precisely what that is, and how it applies to guitar building.

Excellent idea Diane. Include the factors at each end of the strings that contribute to stability and sound, and the various systems that can be used to achieve neck angle during construction. Looking forward.

Yes John, that is one way. I fret my boards before I glue them on so use a different approach - I like your method though. I am thinking that the discussion should start earlier, in preparing the rim. I use Hesh Breakstone's method and am aware that there are others, including yours.
