Bridge Gluing Procedure Video Question

John, I watched your 2 part video on gluing bridges. In the video, you're gluing a 6" x 1" bridge.

Do you use the same procedure for belly bridges, ie. do you use the inlay tool to clean the finish from the guitar top, then use it to make a little shoulder around the bottom of the bridge, so that the bridge will fit into the shallow created when you cleaned the finish off of the top?

How long do you clamp a bridge when using HHG on a regular spruce (not torrified) top?
